Moki are proud and excited to be presenting the results of our Active Schools Project (ASP) that we ran at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year: the largest ever appraisal of physical activity of children to date.
The Project assessed physical activity levels in over 350 KS2 primary school children from 13 different UK schools over a period of 8 weeks and the results were quite literally astounding.
Today, two of our Moki co-founders, James H and Professor Dylan, are presenting the ASP results to the Carnegie Creating Active Schools Team (CCAST) held at Leeds Beckett University, together with partners from the SEFAL centre at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, as part of a wider research project into physical activity in schools and to provide an overview to the recently developed Creating Active Schools Framework.
Contributions for developing this framework has been led by Leeds Beckett University working closely with 50 regional, national and international researchers, practitioners and policymakers. Further presentations will focus on research and on promoting physical activity in schools.
